For Immediate Release:

American Bocce Company teams up with Palazzo di Bocce to debut first ever American Bocce Open.

American Bocce Company has announced that they are collaborating with Palazzo di Bocce outside of Detroit, Michigan as the host site for their first ever large scale regional bocce ball tournament. After seven years of cultivating new players and communities through social, bar, and casual leagues, American Bocce is entering the more competitive fray with a 2-day tournament drawing players from around the country. The event is scheduled for Friday, September 10th and Saturday, September 11th which will feature two simultaneous tournaments; one geared towards elite competitors, and one designed for social and recreational players.

While the Chicago-based organization considered several host locations closer to home, they ultimately reached an agreement with Palazzo di Bocce based on its immense facilities, generous host staff, and strong ties to the history and the culture of the sport. “Both ABC and Palazzo just want to serve the sport,” remarks Alex Gara, President of American Bocce. “We want to see it grow. We want to see it prosper. By aligning on this, we think we give bocce the best chance to do just that.”
